Baxter Springs, Kansas – April 2, 2025 Ӱԭ, the global leader in waterjet technology, robotic automation, and ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) manufacturing process solutions, announced today that KMT Waterjet, H20 Jet, and McCartney Engineering will extend their global collaboration as part of the newly formed KMT Group.

The KMT Group will leverage the unique strengths of these historic brands.

KMT Waterjet offers a wide range of pump models, including 55,000 PSI/3.800 bar direct-drive pumps, 60,000 PSI/4.100 bar intensifier pumps, and the PRO 90,000 PSI/6.200 bar ultrahigh-pressure pumps. With this extensive lineup and partnership with 180+ global OEM’s, KMT offers the broadest range of waterjet systems for all industries around the world.

The H2O Jet brand is globally known for designing precision high-pressure parts and components. Their team of engineers have extensive high-pressure experience and through customer collaboration, are taking the technology to a new level of innovative products.

Since its founding in 1946, McCartney Engineering has been a global leader in high-pressure systems for the LDPE industry, pioneering the invention of waterjet cutting technology in 1971 (sold under KMT Waterjet brand). McCartney engineers’ ability to do precision machining was a perfect match for high pressure production equipment used in low density polyurethane production.

“We are excited to better serve our customers by combining resources to better drive innovation and deliver the best tailored solutions—whether through industry-standard waterjet and LDPE systems or innovative, custom-designed high-pressure systems that have yet to be introduced to the market,” said Brendan Shackelford, Global President of KMT Group. “This move represents an exciting development for our team and our customers.”

“Aligning our KMT, H2O, and McCartney brands under the KMT Group opens up a global opportunity to enhance innovation and efficiency in the UHP pump and component market,” said Nino LaDuca, CEO of Ӱԭ. “This global collaboration will drive synergies that significantly increase customer value and strengthen our position in the industry.”

With today’s launch of the global brand, KMT Group also unveils its new logo and looks forward to sharing updated brand materials, including a new unified website for its product brands, later this year.

KMT Group would like to extend its gratitude to customers, partners, and employees for their support and contributions to the company’s success. This is a significant step forward in the company’s mission to enable customers, suppliers, and employees to succeed and grow by offering innovative and reliable manufacturing solutions.

Riverstone Pressure Systems (RPS) will join Advanced Pressure Systems (APS) as an integral part of the SHAPE Waterblast Group

KENT, Wash., January 28, 2021 – Ӱԭ, Inc. (SHAPE), the world-leading supplier of waterjet technology and ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) manufacturing process solutions has completed the acquisition of Riverstone Waterjets. Riverstone Waterjets will undergo a name and brand update to Riverstone Pressure Systems (RPS), joining Advanced Pressure Systems (APS) as an integral member of SHAPE’s Waterblast Group.

RPS, headquartered in Leduc, Alberta, is a leading supplier of high-pressure products, a hose assembly center, and a service and rental center for tooling, pumps, and automation in Canada. The acquisition of RPS, and its incorporation of the existing APS Canada business in Eastern Canada, significantly broadens SHAPE’s ability to provide elevated service across Canada through additional local technicians and on-hand inventory, allowing for optimized delivery and support to the waterblast industry as well as the wider oil and gas and industrial marketplace.

“SHAPE is dedicated to delivering the absolute best customer experience. The acquisition of Riverstone Waterjets and re-branding efforts tied to APS are an act of continued commitment to that promise,” says Brendan Shackelford, President of APS. “The added capacity, support, and expertise will allow us to continue to rapidly deliver parts from coast to coast in Canada, ultimately improving uptime for our customers, while offering competitive products and pricing.”

The acquisition means all APS products sold in Canada will be transacted in Canadian dollars, and cross-border shipments from APS to the SHAPE Canadian customer base will be alleviated. “With this addition, we are able to better support our Canadian customers across SHAPE while expanding our comprehensive waterblast product offerings,” says Tim Fabian, vice-president of marketing for SHAPE. “We are excited to add RPS to the SHAPE family of innovative brands.”

“We are looking forward to the opportunity to leverage the core strength of the APS product brand combined with Riverstone’s expertise in delivering hose assembly; pump and automation rentals; and safety training to the Canadian market. Together, we plan to set a new standard for the delivery of high-

pressure products across Canada,” says Mike Hubbard, founder of Riverstone Waterjets and general manager of RPS.

RPS will continue to serve industrial cleaning and oil and gas industries in Canada with industry-leading ultrahigh-pressure waterblast technology, equipment, and services.

Leverages decades of robotic process expertise to develop cutting and trimming solutions for the advanced materials the Automotive industry is using.

WKW Automotive, a major Tier 1 supplier, has awarded Shape Process Automation, a program valued at approximately $15MUSD to provide two inline laser systems complete with material handling capabilities.

This program has the potential to be the highest throughput aluminum robotic laser cutting line in the world.

Shape Process Automation’s solution reduces cost and floor space by nearly 50% by utilizing the NEWTON® technology compared to traditional robots that articulate a cutting head. Laser cutting assembly lines with NEWTON enable customers to reduce their long-term program cost by eliminating direct labor, reducing engineering floor labor, increasing quality, and sustaining long term OEE gains. “WKW is excited to work with world-class technology in delivering industry-leading aluminum fabrications,” said Prakash Patel, Director, Program Management at WKW Automotive.

This project will push Shape Process Automation’s install base of robotic laser cutting robots to surpass 50 units in 3 years. An achievement that would not be possible without repeat customers, SPA’s professional team, and proven suppliers like FANUC Robotics and TRUMPF laser sources.

“This automated production line incorporates the latest in robotic laser cutting, delivering big gains for cutting 3-D automotive components via the Newton cutting head technology. Combined with our other fully integrated manufacturing processes and numerous operational enhancing upgrades, this technology essentially represents the culmination of our 35 years of experience in the industry”, said Nino LaDuca, President of Shape Process Automation. “SPA has supported automotive programs dating back to the 1980s, first on the trimming of automotive interior parts and through to the very latest lightweight structural automotive parts. Being awarded this project demonstrates that Shape Process Automation continues to lead the industry in both design and technology.”

Automotive light-weighting is the concept of using advanced materials such as ultra-high-strength steel (UHSS), aluminum, and other lighter composite materials to reduce the weight of a vehicle to meet increasingly stricter government regulations. Lowering a vehicle’s bodyweight reduced emissions and improves fuel efficiency without compromising safety or performance.

These lightweight materials vary in their methods of assembly and processing (compared to traditional steel). As such, automotive OEM’s & Tiers depend on those in the industry who understand these unique properties and have a proven history of expertise in processing them efficiently and effectively while maintaining the materials’ integrity.
